Living the beach life

We've been to the beach a lot lately. I'm sure you can see why!

After the sand beach we hiked over to the tide pools to explore.

The boys found a little lagoon in a cave.

This beach has star shaped sand. Look closely, you ca see some grains of sand are really shaped like stars!

Happy First Birthday Caleb!

Little man is growing up fast and I can't believe it's been a year already! He woke up at midnight on his birthday with a fever and then had diarrhea the whole day. Poor kiddo. I did manage to take some good photos of him. Later that day Colin had a dentist appointment, but when we got there their power was out so we had to leave. I had planned to take the kids to an inflatable bounce play place, since Colin went for the very first time on his first birthday too, but with Caleb being sick we had to skip that plan. Instead I took the kids to the USDA building on base to see the snake pit. It is where they have some of those infamous brown tree snakes (which by the way this is the first live brown tree snake I've ever seen) and a monitor lizard. It was a fun little stop, Colin and Caleb both liked checking out the critters.

His actual birthday was a fun day, but the next day was party and presents day. We just had our friends The Worley's come over to celebrate with us. Caleb had a ball opening presents and smashing cake everywhere. He wasn't too hungry after his dinner, so he didn't eat much...but he was insistent on getting all the sprinkles off that cake.

Here are the pictures...

And of course we had video!

Happy Birthday handsome boy!

Little Gardener

We did some yard work today and Caleb was very happy to get to play in the dirt and grass.
