Each year the Cub Scouts have their annual Blue & Gold Banquet to hand out awards, ranks, achievements, and recognize the boys' work over the year. Here are the pictures from this year's event!

Hike to Pagat Cave

Pagat Cave

We finally got out to do a hike. The weather has been cooler than usual. And by cooler than usual I mean only in the low 80's instead of 90's. This is our winter, this is as good as it gets so it was now or never if we were going to hike without melting. We hiked through the jungle and down in elevation using some ropes until we came to the cave. The cave opening was not much and was a bit ominous to head down in to in the dark. Once inside the cave you came to a shallow pool of water, on the back side of that lagoon there was a tiny passageway (And I do mean tiny, it was a tight squeeze!) that led to a larger pool room area where we swam and ate. The water was fresh and freezing, but after the hot hike it felt good once the initial shock wore off. We all survived and made it out the cave alive and then continued on the trail to the cliffs at the shoreline. Beautiful views from the cliffs were an awesome sight!

Family Picture Time

It's that time again...As always I go in hoping for ONE decent family shot and anything else is a bonus. That makes this a success! Caleb was not impressed one bit and only smiled when we set him down for individual photos and there was a chance he could play in the sand. Anytime one of us was holding him he was a complete grump. Only smiling picture is him alone after he got a handful of sand and was feeling mighty proud of himself.

Fish Eye Park

For our friend Mason's 9th birthday we went to the Fish Eye park and dinner show. They have an underwater observatory near a reef with awesome views. We even saw a black tip reef shark swimming around! After we went under water we surfaced for some food and a cultural dinner show. The boys loved all the fire and machetes.

Colin's face says it all here. All the guests of honor and a few extra were invited up to get a lesson from the show dancers and learn some moves. This was when the boys were starting to realize that everyone was getting a turn to go up and theirs was coming soon! LOL

The costumes were amazing!

This guy ate fire!

Colin won't appreciate this until later!

Classic family photo we paid way too much for!
