Colin's First Pack Meeting

Colin had his first Pack meeting tonight for Cub Scouts. They have had several den meetings, but this was the first time the whole pack (all the dens) got together for a flag ceremony and awards. Colin was recognized for earning his horseback riding belt loop.

Caleb is 8 Months Old!

Caleb is 8 months today! He's still much the same from last month, only some small changes. He got his first upper tooth which was a doozy. It bothered him for weeks and he didn't sleep the full night through for 2-3 weeks while it came in. As soon as it cut the gum he's back to sleeping all night, thank goodness! He is a little terror and loves to get in to anything he isn't supposed to. He crawls all over the place. He weighs about 19.5 pounds and is still in 9 month clothes. I got a sale on size 3 diapers so we are still stretching those until we absolutely can't wear them anymore. He still is almost in that in between point where 3's aren't quite right but 4's are too big. The problems of a mom with tall, skinny boys! LOL He is a total ham and loves people and talking with them. He doesn't want to be alone, ever, and will even talk to Cooper if he'll lay down and listen to him.

Island Tour

Today we drove around to the southern and eastern side of the island, where we had not yet seen. The road is windy and full of holes (like every other road on Guam) so it takes a while, but the scenery is so pretty you don't want to drive fast anyway. There are little coves looking out at empty beaches and then we starting to head up into the hills and mountains, where we got beautiful views overlooking the beaches below. It was a nice break from the house unpacking/projects for us to spend a weekend just exploring and sightseeing. Please excuse the picture quality, I forgot my camera at home and only had my iphone.

Cub Scout Horseback Riding

Colin got to visit a farm and learn about the care of horses for a Cub Scout outing today. Of course they also got to ride the horses, which is what all the boys were waiting for! Colin will earn his first Cub Scout belt loop for horseback riding on this visit!

Caleb eating and being crazy

This boy is a nut. He loves to eat and he also loves to get excited, here you see a little bit of both. The growling talking noises are my favorite, he sounds like a possessed little demon baby, it makes me laugh!

Moving In

I have been terrible at pictures and updates, and this is why...

This is what my whole house looks like right now. It's driving me INSANE!
There is even a fridge in my living room, yes a fridge!

This is the fridge that came with the house and it's so small there is no way it will work for us. It is going to the garage to become a storage fridge and the base is delivering me a real fridge, which is why this one is taking up space in the living room. Because as you can see above, my garage is a nightmare with no room.

Over the last thirteen years we have moved eight times and it has never taken more more than a week to get the entire house done. I'm a bit of an unpacking over achiever you could say. I have a system, I get to work and in a week or so I have curtains hung and pictures on the wall. This time, I'm a mess. My friends are telling me it's because I have a baby. I had a baby when we moved to Germany, Colin was just 9 months then and it didn't slow me down. Caleb is a different baby, he nurses every two hours and wants a lot more attention than Colin did. But I still can't believe how long it is taking to try to get stuff done! At this rate the movers could be here to pack us out in four years before I get everything unpacked and put away!

Today I just said screw it and I've spent the last 3 hours sitting at the table trying to update the blog, document and organize before I forget dates and information. So scroll on down there are a ton of new posts below this one. Get your fix because who knows how long it will be before I get time to update again! LOL
