Kusadasi

Kusadasi

Today was a port I was very excited for. For years I've wanted to go to Discovery Cove at Sea World in Orlando but just can't justify the price. Well Adaland Sea Park in Turkey is a smaller, similar type park for a much, MUCH better price. We booked our tickets from home before the cruise knowing we were definitely going to do this. It has several fish tank snorkeling areas where you can snorkel the reef, a stingray pool you can snorkel in, and even a cage to take you down to dive with the sharks! There is a small water park attached to it was well and Colin loved the water slides and lazy river. The water was COLD, much colder than I anticipated but thank goodness it was super hot that day and I was able to make myself get in. Colin didn't take any time at all to get the hang of snorkeling, he'd been doing it in the pool and at the beach at home a couple times. The shark tank was the funniest part of the day. He did NOT want to get in that tank and go down. He stood on the platform and watched Shelby and I go down instead and was very concerned for us. After we came up Shelby told him it was his turn and he was not so sure about it still, we pretty much made him do it because we knew once he got in there he would stop freaking out. That is exactly what he did too, went down and was excited to see the sharks swimming around him. He even went down a second time so I could take some pictures from the other side of the glass. It was a great day and we all loved the park.
