Flag Day

The Cub Scouts celebrated Flag Day with the retiring of many flags that had been collected for retirement. The boys started off with The Pledge of Allegiance, the Cub Scout Law and a few words.

Caleb was having fun filling his trunk with rocks during the ceremony.

The kids with their flags to be retired.

Colin, waiting his turn to hand over the flag to the Boy Scout assistant.

After retiring the USA flags there were a few state flags that needed retired. As well as a few Armed Forces branch flags. Colin was chosen to hold and retire the Air Force flag. Here they are standing while the Air Force Song and Navy song was sung. (We really need to work on the Air Force song with Colin!)
 Ready to retire!

Snapped just after he had carefully tossed it into the fire.
